"My 18 Year Old Daughter's Pregnancy Story and Miracle Baby"

True Love
I am the mother of twin girls, two of the loves of my life!
They were born premature at a little over 3 pounds each. What an experience I had during my own pregnancy, and the joy continues!
My girls are almost 21 years of age now.
During the fall of 2006 one of my daughters told me a "shocking" truth...that she was pregnant!
You could have blown me over with a feather to say the least.
This daughter was a little more shy and quiet of the two. She dated a little in school but not that much.
A friend of my daughters that she worked with introduced her to a guy one day. She didn't go out with him but a few times and then one day not long after she met him, she was....pregnant!
My daughter was a high ranking student in school and well on her way so to speak to 'conquer the world'.
At first she was upset and we as parents were upset and were at a loss of what to say or do.
She and her boyfriend went to counseling and they stayed together to have the baby.
On top of this ordeal, I was having personal problems of my own. Her father and I divorced shortly after, and this was something else she had to deal with as well.
I did my best to stand by her and love her unconditionally. Her boyfriend stood by her and they eventually moved in together.
One night a few months later my daughter called me. It was way too early for her to have the baby. She was actually trying to deliver the baby! She was barely 6 months pregnant.
It wasn't long after that, she did in fact have the baby. The baby was born at only 1.8 pounds!
She faced so many obstacles and is lucky to be alive.
She was and is a fighter and definitely a miracle baby.
She is a very bright spot in all of our lives and is so beautiful! We love her and don't know what we would do without her in our lives.
I am so proud of my daughter too.
She went on to finish high school in the top ten percent of her class. My daughter also received a scholarship to attend a local college...she hopes to be a doctor someday. I believe she may be an anesthesiologist!
My daughter is a wonderful mom and daughter and is determined to finish school and get her degree.
I hope you enjoy my story and wish you well with whatever obstacles you are experiencing.
Keep the faith, love your children, tell them you love them and always be there for them whenever they need you.
God bless you all.
