Kindergarten Nutrition Is Essential To Start Your Child’s Day Out Right And Leads Your Child To A Lifetime Of Healthy Food Choices

"To me, good health is more than just exercise and diet.

It's really a point of view and a mental attitude you have about yourself."

Angela Lansbury(1925- )

Kindergarten Nutrition focuses on the foods your child eats to fuel his or her growing brain and body for the exciting and challenging day that awaits them.

It is also about showing your child thru example the important role proper diet, rest, nutrition and exercise plays in the lives of all people everywhere.

As in all aspects of Parenting, Parental example plays a major role in shaping children’s eating habits and attitudes about nutrition and healthy living in general.

Kindergarten Nutrition and activity go hand in hand.

Well-balanced meals and plenty of active play time are essential in the proper development of young minds and bodies.

Kindergarten graduation ideas, kindergarten lesson plans, kindergarten activities, kindergarten worksheets; proper Kindergarten Nutrition is needed for all of these activities and more!

What has YOUR child done?

Tell us all about it!

It is in their early years that children develop their tastes and attitudes about food and nutrition, and at this early stage of life the Parent has near total control over these food inputs.

When Parents enjoy a variety of foods that are low in sugar and fat and are high in fiber, then their children learn to like these foods also.

But as any Parent knows, planning healthy and nutritious meals and getting your children to eat them is not always the same thing.

Sometimes the food ends up everywhere except where it was intended to go.

Get your camera, snap a picture, and enjoy the moment.

If you want to have some real fun, just save that picture until your child starts dating then bring it back out and see your child’s reaction when you share it with their date.

Faces and floors are easily cleaned up, but happy memories of messy meals will be missed once they are gone.

So how do you ensure proper Kindergarten Nutrition when bellies are small and needs are great?

One of the simplest ways is to give your child a daily vitamin supplement as part of their breakfast routine.

A chewable or gummy vitamin supplement is a fun and easy way to ensure that whatever your child eats for breakfast, the vitamin supplement will bond with the food in your child’s stomach to deliver the Kindergarten Nutrition needed for a whole day of activity and learning.

It is essential to give your child the vitamin with food so that the food in essence becomes ‘super charged’ with the vitamins and minerals in the supplement and provides its healthful benefits to the one you love.

Parents, this is a great habit for you to have as well, and one of the easiest ways to ensure that no matter what you eat (or don’t eat), you too are getting the proper nutrition that your body needs to function at its best.

This is not a substitute for making wise food and exercise choices, but it is a simple and effective way to get the vitamins and nutrients we all need on a daily basis.

Please don’t confuse the simplicity of a daily vitamin supplement taken with breakfast with its value to Kindergarten Nutrition.

The idea is simple but the value is great!

This is because there are seven major classes of nutrients, namely; carbohydrates, fats, fiber, protein, water, vitamins and minerals.

The foods we eat and the water we drink takes care of the first five of these nutrients, but there is little chance that the foods we eat will be sufficiently fresh and varied in nature and quantity to provide us with the myriad of vitamins and minerals we also need.

Let’s face it, the earth is getting tired and the food we eat today simply isn’t what it used to be.

And besides, small bellies simply cannot fit the food it would take to get this job done.

Save the worry and follow the vitamin supplement suggestion and your Kindergarten Nutrition needs will be as simple as it sounds; or at least they will be that much easier.

Following are some simple tips and suggestions to round out your Kindergarten Nutrition needs, and should provide you with ample food for thought (pun intended).

• If you have a child care provider, make sure they offer well-balanced meals and snacks, as well as plenty of active play time

• Take an active role in helping your child—and your whole family for that matter—learn healthy eating habits and as always, lead by example

• The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA)recommends that people over 2 years of age eat a variety of nutrient-dense foods which include fruits, vegetables, fat-free or low-fat milk and milk products, lean meats, poultry, fish, beans, eggs, nuts, and whole grain products of all kinds

• Serve your child snacks like dried fruit, low-fat yogurt, and air-popped popcorn

• Keep serving new foods to your children even if they don’t like them at first

Note: Our family rule is that you need to try a new food when it is served, but you don’t have to eat it if you don’t like it. Tastes change over time, and this issue is not worth fighting over

• Have family meals together and always serve everyone the same thing. This is a good time to teach good table manners and proper etiquette, and always make sure to thank the chef!

• Encourage your child to be physically active every day by including them in household activities like dog-walking, gardening or washing the car. Have some fun together and they won’t even know they are getting some exercise or that it’s good for them

There is a lot more parenting wisdom to share. Here is another Kindergarten Nutrition thought: Proper health and nutrition is a lifestyle choice and a frame-of-mind as much as it is about the foods you choose to eat.

Be the Parent who shows their children that it’s fun to eat healthy and nutritious foods and to stay active and to be energetic at any time, for any reason, over and over again.
